The Memory of Miss River is a video installation and moving image portrait of the Mississippi River. Here the River is imagined as an untamed mythical dual-spirit who holds the endless memory of the most important waterway in the American South.

(a)similar in a pocket, is a screendance that brings the arts of dance, theater, and film into a dialogue through the embodiment of language and sound. The dancers translate words into movement, allowing meaning to dissolve into a cluster of mixed languages and syllables. What remains is the rhythm of speech, the texture of sound, and the physical traces of communication in motion.

Beyond The Plaques - Joley Gibson

Commissioned by English Heritage and National Youth Ballet, Beyond The Plaques is a dance film inspired by the lives of four female Pioneers; sculptor Eleanor Coade, author Frances Burney, poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and astronomer Annie Maunder. 

The film celebrates endeavour and creativity, highlighting the enduring need to amplify the voices of women in history, as we venture Beyond their Plaques.
